Leg Fracture settles in 6 months for $500,000
I am very happy to report that we have settled a claim for a Grand Rapids motorcyclist in 6 months from the date of the crash, for $500,000. The client suffered a broken leg, when an 80 year old driver crossed the center line and struck him. When asked what happened, the auto driver said: "Those damn motorcycles are always speeding down this street". Unbelievable!! Was this intentional? I don't think so, because the driver was put in a nursing home after the accident. Too bad he wasn't in that nursing home BEFORE the accident.
Not only did we settle this case for $500,000, but we have negotiated a $9,000 per month payment for the biker's wife to sit home and "take care of him." This, plus the biker's wage loss of $4,000 per month, adds up to an additional $13,000 per month being paid to my clients TAX FREE! You can do the math. That's a lot of money, AFTER the settlement being paid to the client.
Lastly, and most important in my opinion, is that we found the biker a medical specialist, other than the one he was treating with. His healing was not progressing like he or I thought it should. So, we secured an appointment with a Dr. who I consider to be the best in the state. What a difference! The client is thrilled that he is now progressing to healing so much better than before with his previous Dr.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating "I ride, so I consider any motorcyclist a part of my "family". My job is to not only get you the money you deserve, but to get you the best medical care available. Just like I'd do for a member of my own family.
